MobileSS decorated @WSA night of excellence

Mobile Software Solutions, a company established a year ago as an IT Start-up focused on e-Health has literally shot down Malaria pandemic to emerge the 2014 Best Mobile Software Solution in Africa, by winning the award, after competing with over 400 other solutions from the continent, ITRealms reports.

The prestigeous World Summit Award (WAS) Africa 2014 for m-Entertainment/Lifestyle category was presented to Chris Uwaje (FNCS) – Chairman of Mobile Software Solutions Ltd, at the just concluded 2nd Inter-Ministerial Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), held in Rabat Morocco.

According to the promoters of Malaria Destroyer Game (MDG), Malaria is the leading cause of death in Africa and accounts for the lost of over valuable 300,000 lives in Nigeria.

The Malaria Destroyer Game from Mobile Software Solutions - the leading African Mobile Games Company and Platform was in March this year selected as the Best Mobile App. Game of the year by “All amber" the brand platform for Mobile West Africa Conference 2014.

The award winning solution for WSA-Africa 2014 - Malaria Destroyer Game (MDG) - was selected for its innovative origination, human-health impact, International appeal and endorsements by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), UN (UNESCO e-Learning Chair) Open Media and Centre for Values and Leadership (CVL) amongst others.

By extension, this superlative recognition has now uplifted MDG into a world class m-Entertainment Solutions as currently classified under the e-Health category of the UN-enabled World Summit Award. The Malaria Destroyer Game (MDG) by Mobile Software Solutions Limited represents perhaps the most strategic and innovative way to positively fight, destroy and eradicate this pandemic. With this type of solution, we can stop these massive Malaria deaths and sustain economic growth by ensuring the good health of our workforce.

The MDG winning Team is made up of: Pius Junior Ekeh, Eyika Godson Iheanyichukwu, Yinka Taniwomo, Raphael Kazeem, and Kester Uwaje.

ITRealms recalls that in a recent email from WSA to Mobile Software, it reads: “Dear WSA-mobile Nominees! (Mobile Software Solutions Limited – Nigeria) I hope this email finds you well! As you well know, WSA has received in the last 10 years extremely successful and powerful applications from Africa and could award several African winners in the global competition. To strengthen this regional network and encourage more knowledge transfer inside the region, we have started this year a special regional award and forum for people to learn from each other and encourage creative solutions in and from Africa.

“It is my pleasure to herewith inform you that the
African Content Award Jury selected your project as the best African mobile solution in your category. Therefore you are one of the WINNERS of the African Continent Award 2014. Congratulations”. Finally, the Nigerian Government I and VCs from the private sector are encouraged to support the Commercialization of the Malaria Destroyer Game as a means to accelerate the attainment of the e-health aspect of Millennium Development goals (MDGs),” WSA letter submitted.
