*As Lawyers demand apology for Funke
Nigerian lady blogger, Linda Ikeji may have entered another notorious
‘one chance’ this time with Funke Akindele as her (Funke’s lawyers) are
demanding an apology for a controversial blog post by Linda yesterday, Sunday,
25, 2015, reports ITRealms.
Not long ago, she was engulfed in a controversial copyright episode, which forced Google to bring down her blog. This ITRealms reports has since been resolved and Linda seems to have moved on.
Bur according to a press statement made available to ITRealms by Benchmark Media and endorsed
by Biodun Kupoluyi, the mangement of star actress, Funke Akindele, condemned in
strong terms the unwarranted posts by blogger, Linda Ikeji, which they said, ascribed
a harmless picture on the award winning role interpreter's Instagram's
page to be a mockery of the alleged
separation between her colleague, Toyin Aimakhu and her husband, Adeniyi
Johnson.
Funke’s lawyers also lamented to ITRealms that Linda went too far by
assuming the role of a mind reader and a judge in her Sunday, January 25, 2015 post: “DID FUNKE AKINDELE SHADE TOYIN AIMAKHU LAST
NIGHT?” she has exposed the favourite actress to cynical comments and hasty judgments.
For them, Linda’s post, did not only portray the Funke Akindele's brand in bad light, it
has promoted unhealthy rivalry where there is none.
Meanwhile, ITRealms
gathered that as a acclaimed law abiding citizen, Funke, through her lawyers,
had on same day, Sunday, January 25, 2015, via email,
written a letter to Linda demanding a retraction and apology within 24
hours or face action within the ambit of
law.
