The
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has entered into strategic
alliance with Globacom, a national mobile operator in Nigeria, reports DigitalSENSE Business
News.

Business News revealed that this strategic alliance follows a recent
Memorandum of Understanding between INEC and Globacom which trades under Glo to
explore INEC directory by way of offering more education on the Permanent
Voters Card (PVC)a s the general elections approaches.

News also gathered that the exploration of the INEC directory could be assessed
on Glo line by calling 7411.

News further affirmed would avail callers with official and accurate
information on tips and directions to PVC collection centres around their
vicinity.

unlimited tips and directions to PVC collection centre,” DigitalSENSE Business

News recalls that the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had extended the deadline for
collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the country by additional two
weeks from previous deadline of March 8, 2015.
According to the Chief Press Secretary
to INEC Chairman, Mr. Kayode Robert Idowu, the collection will now continue
until March 22nd 2015, superseding the earlier deadline of
March 08th 2015.
This latest extension, he said, offers
the last opportunity for duly registered persons to collect their PVCs before
the general elections scheduled for March 28th and April 11th,
2015.
“NEC hereby calls on registered
persons that are yet to collect their PVCs to use this last opportunity in
doing so, in order to participate in the forthcoming general elections,” Idowu
explained.
