An unconfirmed reports making a round
Wednesday evening claimed that in excess of 100 party supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) met their untimely
death during vehicular related accidents in jubilation of newly president-elect,
General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd), across the country, reports ITRealms.
According to report by The
Agenda “No fewer than one hundred
people have been reported dead across Nigeria in celebration of the victory of
General Muhammad Buhari as Nigeria’s next president.
The
Agenda reports that some of the worst hit states are: Adamawa, Jos, Kaduna,
Sokoto, Kano and Edo.
In
Rivers, Jubilant youths of the All Progressives Congress were seen along
Omerelu/Elele/Port Harcourt road, displaying different kinds of guns and other
dangerous weapons, shooting into the air and chanting heroic songs.
The Agenda investigations revealed
that some of the victims involved in accidents, as a result of the celebration
in Kano are presently receiving medical attention in Murtala Mohammed general
hospital, Kano.
Eye witnesses say many of the victims
were either hit by a moving vehicles making stunt displays or lost their
footing while watching the activities.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s President-elect,
General Mohammadu Buhari has urged his supporters across the country to remain
calm and celebrate responsibly.”
