The Nigeria Army has announced the rescue of some 200 girls
and 93 women from the dreaded Sambisa forest, reports ITRealms.
A tweet from Nigeria Defence Headquarters made available to ITRealms in a news flash said that the
troops have rescued 200 girls and 93 women from Sambisa Forest.
As at the time of going to press, Defence Headquarters was
yet to confirm if the rescued girls were specifically Chibok Girls.
ITRealms recalls that Sambisa forest is located in Borno
State, a part of the North eastern Nigeria.
In April 14, 2014, it was reported that Boko Haram kidnapped
over 200 schoolgirls which attracted both local and international condemnation.
