Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Peoples
Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, has emerged winner of
the governorship election in the state, reports ITRealms.
The Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) results already collated and made available to ITRealms at the time of going to press,
showed that Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi won in the 16 out of the 17 local government
areas in the state.
Also ITRealms gathered that Ugwuanyi’s
closest rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr Okey Ezea, lost
in his local government (Igboeze South) to Ugwuanyi.
The results equally showed that at
Aninri, PDP scored 39,216 against APC 886; Enugu North PDP got 17,829 while APC
have 2,050; Enugu South gave PDP - 15,889, APC - 1,633; Ezeagu also scored PDP
- 32,995, APC - 1,307; Igbo Etiti PDP - 21,524, APC - 2,256; Igbo Eze North PDP
- 51,948, APC - 2,482; Igbo Eze South PDP - 18,120, APC - 6,231; Isiuzo PDP -
21,651,
APC - 1,813; and Nkanu East PDP -
12,571, APC – 975.
While Nkanu West PDP - 16,683, APC -
1,148; Nsukka PDP - 41,625, APC - 9,416; Oji River PDP - 13,484, APC - 2,394, Udenu PDP - 40,120, APC - 1,463;
Udi PDP - 26,892, APC - 3,934; Uzo Uwani PDP - 17,947, APC - 1,915; Enugu East PDP
- 63,660, APC - 2,062, whereas Awgu results was being expected as at press
time.
