The President, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari sack of the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) with immediate effect, may not have been unconnected with the high-level corruption allegedly incubating in the corporation, reports ITRealms.
The directive to that effect was conveyed in a letter signed and dated today, 26th June 2015 by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Barr.Danladi Kifasi.
In a press statement made available to ITRealms endorsed by Director, Communications at the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Haruna R. Imrana, disclosed that part of the content was that President expressed thank to members of the dissolved board for their services to the nation.
ITRealms recalls that since the twilight of the former president till now, NNPC has been in the eyes of the public for unbecoming allegations of bribe.
According to industry observers, the dissolution and probing of NNPC will not come to Nigerians as unexpected.
