Why Stephen Keshi was sacked by NFF

ITRealms:
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has adduced reasons why the contract with the former Head Coach of the Senior National Football Team, Super Eagles, Mr. Stephen Keshi was terminated, reports ITRealms.

NFF Executive Committee late Saturday in a press statement made available to
ITRealms said Keshi was sacked because of indiscipline.

According to NFF they have reviewed thoroughly the findings of the NFF Disciplinary Committee and NFF Technical and Development Committee which found him guilty of committing indiscipline acts.

For NFF, Keshi's actions and inactions in performance of his duties as Super Eagles’ Head Coach fall short of expectations.

"We found he lacks the required commitment to achieve the Federation’s objectives as set out in the coach’s employment contract," NFF said.

Further,  NFF said that “To this end and pursuant to the provisions of Clause 4.3 of the Employment Contract between Mr. Stephen Keshi and the NFF (The Contract) and the various clauses therein, the Nigeria Football Federation has decided to exercise its option to summarily terminate the employment contract of Stephen Keshi with the Federation with immediate effect.”

Therefore, NFF said its sacking Keshi “without prejudice to the settlement of any existing and due financial obligations between the NFF and Keshi.”

In addition NFF said “In the interim, the Super Eagles’ team affairs will be jointly managed by Assistant Coach, Salisu Yusuf and the Technical Directorate of the NFF headed by Coach Shuaibu Amodu, until the Federation names in due course a new Head Coach, who, along with the NFF will draw up a new direction for the Super Eagles to make certain participation in international competitions.
