The newly elected chairman of Events and Conferences at the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Mr.
Jide Awe has described the GITEX Technology conference as an event with huge
promise, reports ITRealms.
Mr. Awe disclosed this in note in
support of the NCS call for members to join the GITEX 2015 train to Dubai in
October, this year.
“The promise of GITEX is huge.
Showcase, network, seize the International market advantage. To leverage on the
NCS national platform is to shape the future,” he asserted.
For him, NCS is committed to
building a digital, prosperous and inclusive Nigerian nation, hence partnership
of its membership remain the backbone of the society towards achieving this
goal.
ITRealms recalls that the Nigeria
Computer Society (NCS) is the umbrella organization of all Information
Technology Professionals, Interest Groups and Stakeholders in Nigeria.
Established in 1978 as Computer
Association of Nigeria (COAN); and later transformed into NCS in 2002 as a
result of harmonization with other stakeholder and interest groups, NCS is the
national platform for the advancement of information technology science and practice
in Nigeria.
On the other hand, 2015 GITEX is
expected to centre on the Internet Future of Everything which coincides with
the celebration of innovation at 35th
anniversary edition.
“At the core of this 35th
anniversary edition will be innovation and the rapidly evolving Internet of
Everything,” GITEX officials declared.

gathered that there would be an estimated over 80 industry leaders and
influencers including Prime Minister of Estonia, Chief Digital Officer of SAP,
and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of City Of Philadelphia to name a few.
