The Dubai-based DigiRobotics on
Tuesday held a global launch of its CafeBot high-tech restaurant, with touch
screen tables, robotic chefs and waitresses, and TaxiBot which is a driverless
taxi with Global Positioning System (GPS) location tracking, reports ITRealms.
It was also gathered that these
robots could transform the customer and visitor experience in malls, airports,
universities, convention centres, and public spaces in the coming years in the
United Arab Emirate (UAE).
This, ITRealms gathered demonstrates
UAE’s role as a global hub for Smart City innovation.
In addition, Jacky’s Business
Solutions LLC showcased its BigRep One.2, the world’s largest 3D printer
currently on the market, Artec's Shapify booth, a full 3D-body scanning
solution, and a 3D-printed model of the Burj Khalifa.
Equally on display at Jacky’s
Business Solutions’ stand are the MakerBot Innovation Centre, designed for
schools wanting to get more efficiency out of their 3D printing labs, and Mcor
Iris HD, the only printer that uses paper for 3D printouts.
