The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Communication
Technology, Dr. Tunji Olaopa is leading over 84-man delegation to the 2015 Gulf
Information Technology Exhibition holding at the Dubai World Trade Centre,
United Arab Emirate, reports ITRealms.
Investigations carried out by ITRealms showed that this
delegation cuts across public, private and media sector participants including
the 14 start-ups from Nigeria.
Also on the list of the delegation is Director-General of
the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Peter Jack,
Mrs. Uju Hassan Baba, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), the Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Export Promotion
Council (NEPC), Director of Strategies at NITDA, Dr. Vincent Olatunji, Director,
Infrastructure, Yinka Adejube, Head, Corporation Affairs at NITDA, Mrs. Hadiza
Umar as well as Mr. Bunmi Okunowo who coordinates the start-ups.
There is also a team from the Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC) and Mrs Udoh Monilola Omokunmi from the Federal Ministry of
Communication Technology, chief executive of Pinnacle Consult LLC, Mr. Ojo
Akande.
While members of Nigerian Communications Satellite,
(NigComSAT) on the delegation include Senior Manager, Business Development and
Research, Eseoso Edioe, Assistant General Manager, Lagos Business Office, Ms
Ibiye Memberr and Olufunke Fagbeja, in
addition to the Director, Edo State, ICT Agency, Ms Yuwa Naps, among others.
Some of the private sector entities on the delegation
include Mr. Yele Okeremi and Mr. Philip Ayeni as well as the chief operating
officer, SASWare, Ms Ifeoma Nwakwesi, brand and marketing manager, Signal
Alliance, Mr. Moses Braimah to name a few.
Dr. Olaopa is expected to address participants exclusively
during the Nigeria Day Forum on Tuesday, October 20 at the on-going GITEX 2015.
