The recently confirmed President of the Nigerian Guild of
Editors (NGE), Mallam Mohammed Deen Garba, has been named the new Group General
Manager, Group Public Affairs Division (GPAD) of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), reports ITRealms.
Garba’s appointment was part of the Thursday’s long list of changes including 53 others in an overhaul of the organizational structure of the NNPC.
Mallam Garba was until his latest appointment, the Editor-at-Large, The Sun Newspapers. He replaced Mr. Ohi Alegbe who has been redeployed to the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as Group General Manager.
ITRealms recalls that Mohammed, former Deputy President of Nigerian Guild of Editors emerged as the substantive president during the 11th National Conference in August 2015 in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. This followed the appointment of former president, Mr. Femi Adesina, as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to President Muhammad Buhari.
