But trouble seems to be brewing as he by-passed the deputy
clerk, Mr. Ben Efeturi to handover to Alhaji Mohammed A. Sani-Omolori.
ITRealms reports that the outgoing Clerk, according to the
circular, marked NASS/CNA/46/VoI.1/97, dated May 12, 2016, indicated that he would
be proceeding on his “terminal leave from May 14, 2016, to August 14, 2016.”
ITRealms also reports that the circular partly read, “During
my absence, the Acting Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed A. Sani-Omolori,
will perform my duties” Maikasuwa stated in the circular signed by him.
The NASS clerk oversees about seven departments including Information
and Communication Technology, National Secretariat of Nigerian Legislature, Protocol,
Sergeant-At-Arms, Official Report and Internal Audit.
