Beware! Lagos commences e-billing of vehicle offences

The Vehicle Inspection Service unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has commenced the usage of Electronic Billing System on expired vehicle particulars, reports ITRealms.

This, as gathered by ITRealms is a form of instant fine and attracts the minimum fine of N20,000 for one offence, without a reduction unlike when manual billing system was in operation.

ITRealms also gathered that what the Vehicle Inspection Officer will be looking out for include “Updated Vehicle Licence (2) Road worthiness Certificate (3) Insurance Certificate (4) Valid Driver's Licence (5) Fire Extinguisher (6) No cracked windscreen, broken head lamp/rear light/traffickator lights.

Therefore, companies, schools, missionaries and commercial drivers are advised to be certified by Lagos State Driving Institute located at the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) yard at Oshodi-Oke.

Even as none of the papers must not be forged or faked because such attracts each, N20,000.
