The
Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LICCI), has advanced strategy to host a
one-day stakeholders forum on Communication Services Tax bill, reports
ITRealms.
The
forum, ITRealms gathered is free for attendance and will be focusing on the 9
per cent tax on communications services.
This,
LCCI said would hamper Voice Calls, Short Messaging Service, Multimedia
Service, Value Added Service, Data and Pay Television among others.
The
Forum, ITRealms reports has been slated for Wednesday, August 17 at the
Commerce House, Victoria Island, Lagos.
ITRealms recollects that the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the
premier chamber of commerce in Nigeria, founded in 1888 and incorporated in
1950 as a non-profit making organization.
LCCI promotes,
supports or opposes legislative or other measures affecting trade, industry,
commerce and agriculture.
The LCCI also prides
itself with over 1,500 registered members and is well known for its annual
“Lagos International Trade Fair” which was launched in 1977.
