The co-founder of Nigeria-based BudgIT, Mr. Oluseun Onigbinde, has
charged African youth and Nigeria youngsters in particular to always demand
accountability and transparency, reports ITRealms.
Speaking to ITRealms, Onigbinde said young people of Africa need to
understand that their future is being expended daily by the ‘professional
politicians’, stressing they should not leave governance to everyday
politicians.
“They need to participate not just by voting but by demanding
accountability. We need young voices rising up to demand more efficient use of
our resources,” he declared.
On where he sees BudgIT in the next five years, Onigbinde said they are
working on a medium term fund to ensure they become a stronger institution
within this period.
According to him, BudgIT is focused on measuring impact effectively, so
as to deliver value to donors and make certain that they achieve the objective
of spreading their work in the states and in the sub-region.

call on youth to wake up to demand more efficient use of state resources.
ITRealms recalls
that Mr. Onigbinde and his team recently received commendation from Mr. Bill
Gate of Microsoft for innovative use of technology tools to ensure transparency
in governance.
