The
family of Emma Okwuke has announced his demise after a protracted illness,
reports
A press
statement made available to ITRealms, by the Secretary, Nigerian Information
and Communication Technology Reporters Association (NITRA), Mr. Kunle Azeez,
said that Emmanuel Okwuke, a senior ICT reporter with the Independent, and
committed member of NITRA, has kicked the bucket.
Late Emma
Okwuke passed on December 24 morning after a prolonged illness.
“I have been sadly
directed by NITRA President to announce to you that Emma Okwuke of Daily Independent ,
who just passed away … after doctors battled to save his life all through the
night,” Azeez said.
He also prayed for the repose of
Emma Okwuke to rest in peace.
In a
related development, Azeez said the family has fixed dates for late Okwuke’s
final burial rites.
According
to him, on Friday December 30, there will be Service of Songs between 4pm and 6pm at his residence,
Oreyo Quarters, By Agbalumo Bus Stop, after Igbe Junction in Ikorodu area of
Lagos State.
While on Saturday, December 31, interment
and laying of his remains to earth in
his Ikorodu residence by 10am.
May his
soul and that of all departed rest in perfect peace.
