Internet Hall of Fame up for grabs

The Internet Society (ISOC) is seeking nomination for its 2017 Internet Hall of Fame, reports ITRealms.

Carly Morris, the Manager, Stakeholder Relations at Internet Society, revealed that nominations are expected from players of major roles in the development and advancement of the Internet.

According to Morris, ISOC is looking for pioneers who were instrumental in the Internet's evolution and innovators who made outstanding technological, commercial, regulatory or policy advances.
In addition, Morris said nominations are expected for global connectors who contributed to the growth, connectivity, and use of the Internet that resulted in global impact.

The Internet Hall of Fame, Morris said, honors individuals who have pushed technical and human boundaries. If you know an extraordinary person who helped to make the Internet what it is today.
“This is the time to recognize their contributions,” Moriss declared.

The deadline for nominations, the manager said, is March 15, 2017, and ISOC will announce the next class of inductees in September.
