The Governor, Chief Willie Obiano made this disclosure
through the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Anambra State
Government, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta.
He told ITRealms that
Mrs. Obiano died on Friday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital
on Friday, June 2, this year.
“With a profound heart in gratitude to God for a fulfilled
life, His Excellency, the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano
announces the passing on of his dear mother, the matriarch of the Obiano
family, Mrs Christiana Obiano,” Nnachetta said.
Until her death, Mrs. Obiano, who was the matriarch of the
Obiano family was renowned Catholic.
The family, he also said, would soon make further
announcements.
