The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) headquarters has said that the notorious
billionaire kidnapping kingpin, Chukwudumeje 'Evans'
Onwuamadike, is still very much in its custody, reports ITRealms.
This is coming against report by SUN Newspapers that Evans
vanished from Police custody and his whereabouts unknown.
Reacting to media reports that Evans has vanished from
Police custody and his whereabouts unknown, the Nigeria Police said it was
unfounded, insisting that Evans is intact in Police custody.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters,
Abuja, CSP Jimoh Moshood, in a press statement made available to ITRealms, said
that investigations into all the crimes Evans committed which include several
kidnappings, armed robbery and murder are ongoing.
“The Police have made significant progress in the
investigations of these crimes,” he said.
The public, Moshood said, should disregard and
discountenance all media reports in the social and print media that Evans, has
vanished or released and all criminal charges against him dropped as untrue and
absolutely false.
“Evans is in Police custody and would be arraigned in court
along with other members of his gang on completion of investigation,” he
assured.
