The management of Sahel Standard newspaper has announced the
postponement of her 2017 African Leadership and Award programme earlier slated
for July 20, reports ITRealms.
A press statement made available to ITRealms on Tuesday in Abuja,
by the publishers, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the management of the company cited
request from two foreign dignitaries as reasons for the postponement.
He apologized to dignitaries and awardees, saying that a new
date will be announced in due course while invited guests will be directly
notified of the change of date.
Rasheed noted that the a new date will be announced after
ongoing consultations with other stakeholders in the programme.
The African Leadership Lecture, he said, is a programme of Sahel
Standard newspaper and a coalition of ten civil society organizations.
