Barely one month and five days after the Academic Staff
Union of Universities (ASUU) embarked on strike to demand for better working
conditions and failure to fulfill the 2009 agreement, ASUU has announced a
conditional suspension of it nationwide industrial action, reports ITRealms
Information reaching ITRealms newroom indicated that the
union had Monday evening, directed its members to resume duty by tomorrow morning,
Tuesday.
The latest development follows ASUU meeting with the federal
government delegation as confirmed by Daily Trust, and quoted ASUU president,
Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, had embarked on strike on August 13 after its emergency National
Executive Council meeting.
