The Nigerian Minister of Communications, Federal Ministry of
Communications, Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu and Executive Vice Chairman of the
Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Prof. Umar Dambatta, would be leading
a delegation from the country to the 2017 to explore expert insights on a
global stage in Busan, this September during the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) organised Telecom World, reports ITRealms.
The four-day event has been slated for September 25 through
28 in Busan, just as Shittu would be joined by a top-level panelists from
across Nigeria’s government, including regulators, investors and key industry
players, on the theme: “Partnerships for Promoting Connectivity.”
They are to explore the tremendous ICT investment
opportunities Nigeria offers under the aegis of the Nigeria Investment Session to
showcase the abundant opportunities for investment in the country, providing a
platform for interactions between representatives of the Nigerian government,
key industry players in Nigeria’s ICT and telecom sector, SMEs and innovators,
and investors.
ITRealms gathered that while the moderator of Nigeria
Investment Session would be founder and Executive Vice Chairman, MessageWise
Limited, Mr. Henry Nzekwu, whereas the keynote speakers include Yewande Sadiku,
the Executive Secretary CEO, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC),
while panelists would comprise Omobola Johnson, Partner, Alliance for
Affordable Internet (Web Foundation), ‘Bosun Tijani, Founder and Chief
Executive, Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), and Umar Garba Danbatta, Executive Vice
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC),
among others.
