The incumbent governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie
Maduaburuchukwu Obiano swept all the 21 Local Government Areas of the state,
reports ITRealms.
According to the final results by the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) made available to ITRealms in Awka, capital of
Anambra State on Sunday, Obiano floored the former governor of the state, Mr.
Peter Obi led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Oseleko Obaze candidacy, to
third place.
Obiano also beat the All Progressive Congress (APC)
candidate, Mr. Tony Nwoye who got 98,752 to secure the second place in the
November 18, governorship.
In addition, the total number of accredited voters were 457,
311, while total valid votes is 422,314, whereas total rejected votes is
6,457, just as the total votes cast was 448,771.
