The PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS),
Port Harcourt Rivers State, has invited all eligible candidates for screening
into its first batch of undergraduate admission, reports ITRealms.
PAMO, ITRealms recalls
is the Nigeria’s first private medical university which was recently
licensed by the Federal Government with the take-off faculties comprising
Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and Faculty of Clinical Sciences, for the 2017/2018
academic calendar.
According to
the Registrar of PAMO, Barrister W.U.G. Imoedemhe, PUMS’ 2017/2018 academic
calendar would commence with various undergraduate degree programmes in the
Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and Faculty of Clinical Sciences.
“The programmes include B.Sc. Anatomy, B.Sc.
Biochemistry, B.Sc. Human Nutrition & Dietetics, B.Sc. Pharmacology and B.Sc. Physiology for Faculty
of Basic Medical Sciences as well as Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery – MBBS,
for the Faculty of Clinical Sciences,” he said.
Imoedemhe also said applicants are
expected to have five credit passes at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant
subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Mathematics), at
not more than 2 sittings and, must have scored 200 and above in the 2017/2018
UTME in relevant subjects.
Interested applicants, he said, who
have applied to JAMB for admission and wish to change their first choice to
PUMS are required to apply for Change of Institution through JAMB and then
apply online to participate in the Screening/Clearance exercise.
Application form, he said, should be
completed online through the University
website.
