ZTE: Airtel’s 4G lands in Ibadan to drive economic growth

Global telecommunications equipment, networks and mobile devices company, ZTE Corporation, has partnered with leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, to roll-out 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) in Ibadan, Oyo State, reports ITRealms.

Speaking an event in Ibadan, recently, the Chief Executive Officer of ZTE Nigeria Limited, Danny Zhang, said ZTE ensured a best in class deployment of 4G in Ibadan in line with its global best practices and assured that residents of Ibadan will enjoy a seamless and joyous mobile Internet experience courtesy of Airtel and ZTE.

He further noted that Airtel’s 4G deployment in Ibadan will help drive economic growth in the Pacesetter State.

Segun Ogunsanya, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, commented: “Airtel 4G will help drive growth, spread prosperity and empower the highly enterprising people of Ibadan to fulfill their potentials and realize their dreams.

“Our commitment is to deliver 4G Service that works to Nigerians as we will dramatically improve mobile Internet experience for telecoms consumers across the country.”

The event, which held at the Ibadan Civic Centre featured cultural performances, performance poetry sessions and well-choreographed dance styles that highlighted thematic preoccupations bordering on Technology, Culture and Economic Development.

The roll-out was attended by several dignitaries and key opinion leaders including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Adeyemo and Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye.
