Prominent community leader in Iwo and fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants, Mr Adisa Kabiru-Kulukulu has applauded the
recent peace moves by the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi,
reports ITRealms.
A public statement made available to ITRealms, Kulukulu said, “I was
extremely delighted at the peace moves Oluwo is making in Yorubaland. It
gladdens the heart to see Oluwo and Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi back together
in cordial environment. This is a praise-worthy act by the two first class
kings, who have both demonstrated immense love for the development of the
Yoruba race. "
Kulukulu, who doubles as the coordinator, Iwoland
Development Coalition also said, "Peace and harmony between our kings in
Yoruba can only lead to cooperation and ultimately development. We hope that
all our kings would come together and work with both Oluwo and Ooni in building
Yorubaland into a truly modern region."
Further, he commended the recent reported reconciliation
between Oluwo and the Oluwo-oke of Iwo-oke, Oba Kadiri Adeoye, and saying,
"Iwoland is one big family, and it is important to us that all members of
Iwo Traditional Council are on the same page. We are definitely elated by the
possibility of this rapprochement."
