Google, the owners of AdSense and AdMob has updated the
products to comply with the European Union (EU) General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) and other EU privacy frameworks, reports ITRealms.
These updates, ITRealms
gathered, were made to meet the needs of publishers around the world as AdSense
and AdMob products continue to improve.
Also ITRealms reports
that the updated terms included new provisions about feature testing, invalid
activity and policy compliance as well as how Google handle payments to
publishers.
ITRealms further
reports that the updated terms introduced new data protection terms related to
the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other EU privacy
frameworks.
“Specifically, the updated terms incorporate our controller-controller terms and our updated EU User consent policy,” Google AdSense team
revealed.
Further, ITRealms reports
that action is required, urging publishers to sign in to their AdSense account
to review and accept the updated Terms of Service.
“We recommend that you consult your legal advisor if you
have questions about the terms,” the team said.
