An estimated eight persons were reportedly dead from the fire disaster in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, reports ITREALMS.
The fire was ignited following an accident involving a fuel carrying tanker some three metres away from the Government House Lodge in Amawbia on Saturday night.
Also, the News Express reported that the inferno burnt most of the vehicles parked around the scene of the accident, even as on-coming vehicles were hurriedly diverted to take other routes.
The full extent of the damage caused by the accident was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
