Reputable data centre company, the Medallion Communications Limited has been pronounced the 'Nigerian NewsDirect 2018 Data Center of the-year', reports ITREALMS.
The award pronouncement was made and presented at the Nigerian NewsDirect 8th Anniversary Award of Excellence held in Lagos with theme, “Indigenous Participation/Economic Recovery & Growth Plans: Roles of Corporate Governance, Banks Credit, Oil &Infrastructure.
Reacting to the award, the Chief Executive Officer, Medallion Communication, Mr. Ikechukwu Nnamani applauded the daily newspapers outlet for its recognition, and dedicated the award to the management of the company, as encouragement to do in the Information Technology (IT) space.
“For us, this award is a call for diligent service so as to create more enabling environment for the Nigerian Telecom and ICT industry. This is a testament to contributing our quota in creating quality of services to subscribers at affordable prices is well recognized by the industry. This is ultimately our goal.
“We want to take connectivity and content to the last mile and the users. This will create employment and ensure that subscribers get value for money they spend on telecom services,” Nnamani declared.
In addition, he said their organization’s goal is to expand services to more people across the country, stressing that they believe the more the content is closer to the end users, the higher the quality and ultimately the cheaper the price to them.
“We will be expanding our network coverage to additional six cities this year. Moreso, the country will feel the impact in the area of better prices and quality of services,” he said.
According to him, with the fast rate of changes and development in the IT Space, Nnamani noted that Medallion expansion would provide the operators the platform to embrace and utilize upgraded network services.
"We need to be able to provide the operators with the needed infrastructure to provide their services.
"4G and 5G Network is impossible without the operators going to data centers to collocate or interconnect,” Nnamani said.
