The Commander General of the Man of Order and Discipline (MOD Nigeria), Rev. Fr. Lt. Gen. Philip Nwafor, has appointed Lt. Col. Alexander Chiwetelu as its latest National President, reports ITREALMS.
The appointment confirmed by the outgoing National Secretary, MOD Nigeria, Lt. Col. Aloysius Nwachukwu also revealed that before this recent appointment, Lt. Col Alexander was the incumbent Chairman of Kano Diocesan MOD Council (DMC).
To serve alongside Chiwetelu as the National Secretary is Captain Lawrence Obi whom before now is the incumbent Chairman of Ogoja DMC; while Lt. Col. Steve Yahaya who prior to his latest position was the Treasurer - National Patrons Council (NPC), would now serve in the zenith of NPC.
The outgoing service Chiefs of the Movement, through this medium; congratulated all the newly appointees and wish them a terrific reign.
According to the outgoing Secretary, "We also salute our indefatigable Chaplains for a beautiful job well done. Indeed the appointment reflects equity, fairness and depicts the spread of our noble Movement.
"We thank immensely MOD Nigeria for their support and encouragement throughout our stay in office and pray that such solidarity be extended to the newly appointed service Chiefs. Collectively, we shall take MOD Nigeria to the next level," they submitted in a press statement available to ITREALMS.
