The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has endowed a professorial chair in Information Technology (IT) at the Federal University of Technology Owerri, reports ITREALMS.
The Executive Vice chairman of NCC, Professor Umar Danbatta, disclosed this while presenting after the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the NCC headquarters in Abuja recently.
ITREALMS gathered that the N20m cheque was presented to FUTO vice chancellor, Professor Chukwuemeka Eze, at the NCC office in Abuja.
Speaking at the event FUTO V.C. commended NCC and assured on proper deployment of the resources to boost IT education in the country especially in FUTO.
