Governor Willie Obiano has been commended for his foresight in ensuring that the Anambra's health sector continues to be at the forefront, reports ITREALMS.
The Hon. John Nwokoye, Member representing Awka North Constituency, said that the historic commissioning of the biggest fully-automated Oxygen gas production plant at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, Anambra.
Hon. John Nwokoye, also a strong advocate of quality good health and social services, was at the ground breaking event alongside his colleagues from the State House Assembly, respectfully led by the Speaker, Rt Hon Uche Okafor.
The Governor who has said during is speech that plant would have capacity to produce 52 cubic meter of Oxygen Gas per hour, promised the distribution of two oxygen filled cylinders each to all government hospitals, primary health centres as well as other patient care facilities across the state.
According to the lawmaker representing Awka North, such landmark achievement will compliment an already improved health care system in the State.
"The governor in making this possible, a dream come true, has given ndi Anambra the best birthday gift on his day" an happy Nwokoye said.
You may recall that part of the Social Contract or rather 10 point Agenda, Hon. John Nwokoye has promised to pursue diligently include Health & Social Services.
And in line with that objective, the lawmaker has through the Anambra Health Insurance Scheme, given 81 ndi Awka North to opportunity to receive free health care services for free, for a 12 month duration.
Going forward, the assurance is that the Constituency and its people, are set to witness more of such breathtaking services.
