Cryptography: ETSI, IQC Quantum Safe workshop for November’19 - ITREALMS

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) in partnership with the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), hosted by ETSI member, Amazon Web Services is packaging a three-day workshop on cryptography, reports ITREALMS.

The 3-day workshop, ITREALMS gathered, is the 7th ETSI/IQC Quantum Safe Cryptography session scheduled to take place on 5 through 7 November 2019 at the Amazon headquarters in Seattle, United States (US).

ITREALMS also gathered that this workshop will bring together diverse players from the quantum-safe cybersecurity community to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration that are required to transition cyber infrastructures and business practices in order to make them safe in an era of quantum computers.

On 5 November 2019, ITREALMS reports that the Executive Track on the state of the quantum threat and quantum risk management, designed for business executives, including Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Information and Security Officers (CISOs).

Between November 6 and 7, 2019, ITREALMS reports that it would be a Technical Track, designed for business, government and research communities with a stake in cryptographic standardization on a global scale.

This, the organisers said, is a unique opportunity to engage with key members of the quantum-safe cryptography community, participate in practical and scientific discussions and move towards a standardized approach to quantum-safe cryptographic solutions.

Just as there would be poster sessions during the technical track.
