The Lagos State government has been urged to leverage the expertise in the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) chapter in the state to ensure successful project, reports ITREALMS.
Making this call at the weekend, the Lagos State chairman of NCS, Mr. Ganiyu Adegboyega, assured that the chapter has qualified, competent and experienced professionals with appropriate Information Technology (IT)-based solutions and ready to partner with the government on this project.
The chapter 2019 conference theme” Information Technology: Enabler of a Sustainable Lagos Economy”, he said, aligned with the focus of the present administration in Lagos State, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and supported by NCS member, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, as deputy, termed T-H-E-M-E-S, which the government intends to use as its six (6) pillars of development.
He listed the components of T-H-E-M-E-S, to include Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology, Making Lagos a 21st Century state, and Security and Governance.
For Adegboyega, above components could each be implemented through the use of Information Technology based solutions.
“We look forward to collaborating with the government to achieve its aims and objectives,” he said.
