The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has tested positive to the Chinese Virus-19 also known as Covid-19, reports ITREALMS.
Disclosing this on his Twitter handle, Gov. Makinde said, he tested positive for coronavirus.
“I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate,” Makinde tweeted this evening,” the governor declared.
In addition, Gov. Makinde named the former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, Prof Temitope Alonge, as the Head of COVID-19 Task Force in the state.
“I have designated Prof Temitope Alonge, former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, as the Head of COVID-19 Task Force while I recover fully. Please continue to comply with all the directives from the COVID-19 Task Force. Stay home, stay safe,” he said.
