The Lagos State government has confirmed some 309 cases of ChineseVirus-19 also known as Coronavirus or COVID-19, reports ITREALMS.
Out of the confirmed 309 cases, a total of 196 of the cases are still active, while 94 have been discharged, even as two (2) have been evacuated, three (3) have been transferred whereas 14 fatalities was recorded.
“And we have had 14 fatalities,” official statement read.
ITREALMS gathered that based on classification of confirmed cases across 17 Local Government Areas (LGA) in Lagos, Lagos Mainland led with 114 cases.
Others comprised Agege – 1, Alimosho – 15, Amuwo Odofin – 5, Apapa – 2, Badagry – 2, Eti-Osa – 86, Ibeju-Lekki - 1, Ifako/Ijaye - 2, Ikeja - 41, Ikorodu - 4, Kosofe - 12, Lagos Island - 2, Mushin - 7, Oshodi/Isolo -7, Shomolu- 8 and Surulere - 6.
In addition, ITREALMS gathered there are no confirmed cases in three LGAs, namely the Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Epe and Ojo as the time of going to press, although there were reported cluster of infections in Alimosho LGA.
The age distribution of confirmed cases, ITREALMS gathered saw 0-9 years -5, 10-19 years -14, 20-29 years -34, 30-39 years -63, 40-49 years - 60, 50-59 years - 38, 60-69 years - 15, 70-79 years - 2, and above 80 years – 2.
Further, ITREALMS gathered that the gender distributions saw male recording 70 per cent and female has 30 per cent.
