Although the details still sketchy at press time, ITREALMS gathered that it was the Media Centre of INEC that was largely affected.
The INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, was said to have confirmed the incident to The PUNCH.
“Yes, it’s true, there was a fire. I’m going to the office to find out what happened. I will get back to you,” he said.
Okoye, who later confirmed the incident, declared "no critical document was lost to the fire."
