The Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, has
passed on late Friday, April 17, in Lagos, according to ITREALMS correspondent in Abuja.
Conforming this, the Special Adviser to the President on Media
and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina told ITREALMS that the Chief of Staff to the
President, Mallam Abba Kyari has died after testing positive to ChineseVirus-19
also known as Coronavirus or COVID-19
“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of
Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari,” he said.
Until his death, Adesina said, had been receiving treatment in Lagos,
just as the funeral arrangements would be announced shortly.
As at the time of filing this report, his remains have been flown into the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja for burial.
