Sanwo-Olu gives dates, conditions for churches, mosques to reopen - ITREALMS

ITREALMS:

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has given dates and conditions for Churches and 
Mosques to reopen in the state, reports ITREALMS.

He disclosed these while briefing the people of the State on Thursday, 4th of June, 2020, revealing that security personnel will be going round to monitor how religious bodies will comply with the COVID-19 protocols.

For the Mosques in Lagos State, he said, could now open on the 19th of June, while Churches will now open on 21st June.

As said by him only 40 per cent capacity is allowed in the facilities, stressing that for large gatherings, "no facility must take more than 500 people."

In addition, Gov. Sanwo-Olu said that children below the ages of 15 years and elderly people above 65 years should stay away from Churches and Mosques.

He equally advised that anyone without face masks should not be allowed to enter any place of worship.

Sanwo-Olu further said that there should be no communion service and sharing of foods during these gatherings.

Insisting that only Sundays and Fridays worship are allowed for now, advising that every other regular programme remained suspended.

Even as fumigation of premises and other hygienic protocol should be observed.
