A vibrant grassroots non-governmental organisation (NGO)-based in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, the David Umahi Nweze Akubaraoha Ebonyi Transformation Agenda (DUNAETA), has described the relection of Barr. Nwebonyi as prelude to usher the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Aso Rock come 2023, reports ITREALMS.
Founder and President DUNAETA, Lady Monica Chidinma Eze, made this description at the weekend in Ebonyi, also asserted that the performing Governor of the State, Dr. David Nweze Umahi, is a divine tool, adequately stocked with the requisite leadership traits to proffer workable solutions to the myriad of challenges currently facing Nigeria.
A press statement available to ITREALMS, she emphasized that only a governor with a divine inspiration, perception, mentality and most importantly, with the fear of God can drive the uncommon transformation sweeping across Ebonyi State.
She said if good governance and quality leadership with timely results is the yardstick to elect leaders, then Nigerians should waste no time further in wooing this new revealtion of a leader to prepare himself for a higher position in the leadership of this country come 2023.
Monica Aka Ada Ebonyi highlighted that if Gov. Umahi could within less than six years turn Ebonyi State, hitherto known as dusty, most backward and epic center of guineaworm into the most developed State in Nigeria with ten massive and most beautiful Flyovers to his credit unprecedented by any government in Nigeria coupled with the feat of constructing the most gigantic and beautiful Worship Centre in West Africa, then he is adequately fit to turn the fortunes of Nigeria for good.
Every of his infrastructural projects has a classical touch. The Ebonyi Shopping Mall stands as the best in any part of Africa. The Ebonyi International Airport is boasted to be among the best in the country. "A vist to the new Ebonyi Government House is a tour to the wonderland", she further boasted.
Today, Ebonyi State stands out as one of the State in Nigeria with concrete roads linking all the Local Government Headquarters. While almost all the States are engulfed with one security challenge or the other, Lady Monica said Umahi-s pragamitic approach to leadership has ensured the security of lives and property of citizens, residents and even visitors.
Monica, an erstwhile Technical Adviser to Governor Umahi on Media restated that if Nigerians are ready to changing the fortunes of this country to the dreams of the founding fathers, then Umahi is the man for the top job.
The DUNAETA President postulated that with the overwhelming support the South East as a geopolitical zone has given the Peoples Democratic Party since its formation in 1999, zoning her Presidential slot to the zone is not only imperative but justifiable going by the principles of equity, justice and fair play.
In a separate development, Ada Ebonyi congratulated the PDP family in Ebonyi state for reelecting Barr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi. a respected and seasoned administrator, as the State Chairman of the party in the just concluded congresses in the State. Describing the party chairman as a grassroot mobiliser, she said Barr. Nwebonyi's re-election reflects the unity of purpose among the PDP family and a pointer that the party will maintain governance in the state beyond 2023.
To further demonstrate the greatness of the PDP in Ebonyi State, Lady Monica said the party won all the 13 Local Government Council Chairmanship seats in the local government election held recently across the state.
Lady Monica urged the newly elected chairmen of the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State to reciprocate the visions of the Governor in their various Local Government Areas. With that, she said Ebonyi can proudly take her place as one of the most developed States in Nigeria.
Ada Ebonyi appealed to the Council's new Helsmen to embark on projects that will give the people the dividends of democracy to avoid much pressure and distraction on the Governor as he continues in his pursuit of the happiness of the greatest number of Ebonyi citizens.
