The Chairman House Committee On Agriculture, Honourable John Nwokoye (Onowu Achalla), has described the recent news of passage of Ogbuefi Edwin Achum as a great lost for the entire Awka-North Local Government Area of Anambra State, reports ITREALMS.
Nwokoye in a condolence message to the Achum's family and made available to ITREALMS, said that the renowned Educationist and retired Comptroller of Customs, Ogbuefi Edwin Achum was a great son of Achalla.
Also, a press statement by his legislative aide, Ozo Chinedu Okadigbo in Awka, Hon Nwokoye stated that the town had lost an enigma whose works would continue to dominate the contemporary Anambra society.
"On behalf of my family, my constituents and people of Awka North, i commiserate with the Edwin Achum family over the passing of their lovely patriarch, i pray God grants his immediate family, the Achalla Kingdom, Awka North people and lovers of Education, the strength to bear the loss," Hon John Nwokoye said.
