African journalists are rallying round virtual table to discuss “COVID-19 impact on information access” to be hosted by Journalist & Mozambican Lawyer, Arsénio Manhice, on Thursday, November 19 by 10am, reports ITREALMS.
Manhice also disclosed that speakers at the debate are expected to share their experiences, especially from media perspective.
The event, he said, is aimed at presenting and discussing key aspects about the way media professionals’ access health information since the coronavirus pandemic broke out and, on the other hand, the way health professionals have been providing information of public utility.
"The event will start at 10 AM (Maputo time), targeting journalists, health professionals and all those who directly or indirectly deal with health. It is expected that Mozambicans and journalists from other African countries will participate in the event, to be broadcast on the ZOOM platform. The speaker's speech will be in Portuguese, with simultaneous interpretation in English and French.

According to him, this Zoom webinar is an initiative of Ariella Boats & Services S.A., a company dedicated to organizational development and consultancy based in Maputo.
In the context of COVID-19, he said, Ariella provides assistance and organizes, for interested institutions, online seminars (webinars) with simultaneous interpretation in Portuguese, English and French.
