The Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) on Monday join the world in celebration of 2021 International Women’s Day which is marked each year on 8 March, reports ITREALMS.
The International Women’s Day gives the opportunity to celebrate women and their many achievements.
This year, CS-SUNN spokeswoman, Lilian Ajah-Mong said they put "Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world" in the spotlight, to highlight the tremendous efforts by women and girls across Nigeria, particularly women in the Civil Society circle at all levels of leadership, in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the gaps that remain.
CS-SUNN specially celebrates women and girls across all levels; from those at household kitchens, those at the farms, those who nurse and breastfeed their babies exclusively for six months to those at policy/decision-making seats, who have put in efforts towards attaining a Nigeria where every one has food and is nutrition secured.
"We say 'Happy International Women’s Day' to you!"
