Given the rising number of death tolls in the latest suspected herdsmen attack on Ebonyi State communities, the hospitals in the environ are now overwhelmed, reports ITREALMS.
ITREALMS gathered that also killed during the attack was a priest of the Methodist church, whose name is yet to be ascertained as the time of going to the press.
The gunmen, ITREALMS gathered carried out the attacks from about 6.45PM Monday until 4.00AM on Tuesday.
Source from Ebonyi informed ITREALMS that the dead were many indigenes of Eha Amufu in Enugu State and those who survived it may have received severe machete cuts.
ITREALMS further confirmed that almost all the hospitals in Eha-Amufu are reportedly overwhelmed with the injured members of the communities.
A source reportedly learnt that some of the victims were encircled by the killer herdsmen while returning home from Enugu, while others were massacred at their residences in Egedege, whereas leaving many others with degree of injuries.
Some of the affected Ebonyi communities were Egedege, Obegu and Amazu communities.
