Mr. Anthony Ikpeama, who allegedly killed the wife on hospital admission has been arrested in Lagos and still in the Police custody, reports ITREALMS.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Lagos State, Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed this in a press statement issued on Tuesday and made available to ITREALMS.
Ikpeama, he said, was alleged of killing his wife, Mrs Adaeze Ikpeama, 28, on admission bed at Doyen Hospital Ajah, Lagos State.
Police also disclosed Mr. Ikpeama has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for proper investigation.
According to Adejobi, "The suspect has not been released contrary to the rumour and falsehood making waves on the social media."
He explained that "It's a capital offense and the Police will not grant him any administrative bail for whatever reason."
The PPRO also said that the matter is on and "we will do justice to the case as expected."
