The Lagos State Government has reacted to a viral video of Shisha smoking-students and suspended them, reports ITREALMS.
Some five students of the school, ITREALMS gathered which is now identified as Oreyo Senior Grammar School, Igbogbo, Ikorodu in Lagos, were seen in a video over the weekend engaged in crowd-smoking otherwise known as Shisha in local parlance.
ITREALMS gathered that Shisha is tobacco mixed with molasses and fruit flavors that is smoked in a hookah also known as water pipe; an oriental tobacco pipe with a long, flexible tube which draws the smoke through water contained in a bowl.
Confirming this, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Education, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab said “They've been identified and suspended by the school authorities.”
Also, he said, the Lagos State government has ordered for their rehabilitation.
Wahab further cautioned parents and guardian of kids of school age in the state that subsequently found in such act will be prosecuted by Lagos State government.
