As the world continues to mark the month-long 10th anniversary
of Girls in ICT, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) through its Lagos
Zonal office, took the sensitization campaigns to some secondary schools, reports ITREALMS.
According to the Lagos Zonal Controller at NCC, Nkechi
Obiekwe, it was to further ensure that connected girls, create brighter
futures.
Their focus, she said, is on the moment 5, which is on
online safety.
She also listed other make up for the 10 moments which
include storytelling, social media engagement, conversation, academia, online
safety, inspiration, business, media, communities and experts.

ITREALMS equally gathered that the 10 moments series has
been designed with three goals in mind comprising “Build momentum and
awareness about the importance of encouraging girls in STEM; Engage key
stakeholders and communities; and Provide an inclusive platform to discuss the
best ways to encourage girls to pursue STEM careers.
