The President, General Muhammadu Buhari, retired, has given his nod for a dialogue between the Federal Government (FG) and embattled Twitter over the suspension of the microblogging services in Nigeria, reports ITREALMS.
This follows his approval for the composition of the Federal Government's Team to engage with Twitter.
The approval was announced in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who would also chair the team.
FG's team also comprised the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Works and Housing, Minister of State for Labour and Employment as well as other relevant government agencies.

Office of the Minister of Information and Culture in Abuja, Segun Adeyemi who made the press statement available to ITREALMS, said that following the indefinite suspension of its operations in Nigeria, for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate
existence.
Twitter had on Monday, written to General Buhari seeking audience for dialogue with the Federal Government over the suspension, with a view to charting a path forward.
