ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has marshaled out some six simple tips for online safety, reports ITREALMS.
NCC in an animation available to ITREALMS, noted that the tips include being polite on phone.
The telecom regulator warned subscribers that part of the simple tips for online safety comprised “Be careful not to give your personal information to people you meet online.”
In addition, NCC reminded subscribers that not all the information you find on the internet is true.
The Commission advised that meeting someone “you have only been in touch with online can be very dangerous.”
Stressing that by accepting emails, Instant Messages (IM) or opening files, “pictures from people you don't know is dangerous.”
NCC counselled subscribers, saying that “If someone or something makes you feel unsafe online, talk to someone about it.”
